Frequently Asked Questions

What is the founders circle?

The Founders Circle is a limited, one-time opportunity to help Stebbins Family Farm build a fully inspected, permitted dairy without taking on loans — while securing priority access and farm credits for future products and experiences.

is this a donation?

No.

This is a pre-purchase of farm credits that can be redeemed for farm products and experiences once the dairy is permitted. You are helping fund infrastructure and receiving full value back in farm credits.

What are farm credits?

Farm credits are store credit that can be used for:

Pasteurized milk (once permitted), pet milk, cream/cheese/butter/ice cream (as we add them), other farm products, events and experiences.

when do farm credits become useable?

Farm credits activate once our dairy is fully permitted and approved by the state. We will provide regular updates throughout the build and inspection process.

What if the dairy takes longer than expected to be permitted?

Permitting timelines can vary, but we are committed to transparency. If delays occur, credits remain valid, Founders retain priority access, we will communicate clearly and consistently. Our goal is long term sustainability, not rushing the process. Our goal for opening is October 1, 2026.

What if the dairy is never permitted?

While we are confident in our plan, if permitting is not achieved, farm credits will still be honored for farm products we produce. A refund option would be discussed individually with Founders Circle Members. Your support is protected.

How many founders circle spots are available?

Spots are strictly limited by tier to ensure that we can honor credits, experiences, and access responsibly. Once a tier fills, it will close.

Why are there different tiers?

Different tiers allow people to support the farm at a level that fits them while receiving meaningful value in return. Higher tiers include: additional farm credit, farm-to-table dinners, private experiences, and long term recognition.

What is the farm-to-table dinner?

The farm-to-table dinner is a private, seasonal meal hosted on the farm to celebrate what the Founders helped build. It includes: a curated, local menu, farm storytelling, a behind-the-scenes look at the dairy, a meaningful, community-focused experience. Dates will be announced in advance.

Can I use credits for someone else or gift them?

Yes. Farm credits may be used by your household or gifted as long as they are redeemed through you as the Founders Circle Member.

Are payments refundable?

Because this program funds infrastructure, payments are generally non-refundable once submitted. However, we are committed to fairness and transparency and will address extraordinary situations individually.

Is this a legal way to support the farm?

Yes. This program is not selling any product not allowed and credits are only redeemable after the dairy is fully permitted and inspected.

why are you doing this instead of taking out a loan?

We believe local food systems are strongest when they are community supported, debt light, and built with transparency. This approach keeps the farm sustainable, resilient, and aligned with our values.

how will founders be recognized?

Founders Circle Members will be recognized in meaningful ways such as: on farm recognition, digital acknowledgement (website/social media), invitations to exclusive events and updates. Recognition varies by tier.

How do i join?

Message us directly or respond to the announcement post. We’ll confirm availability and send next steps. Once a tier is full, it will close.

Who is this program for?

This program is for people who: Value local food, believe in small farms, want to help build something lasting, appreciate transparency and relationship based agriculture.

It is not for everyone — and that’s okay.
